چکیده
In low voltage (LV) distribution systems, the problem of overvoltage is common during lower load intervals. This arises because high value R/X ration these systems. Many techniques are available in literature to cope up with this at converter level; mostly methods control reactive or active power photovoltaic (PV) However, there certain restrictions and complications PV Most have been implemented inverter stage system, resulting implementation complexities excessive oversizing converter. Therefore, paper, a simple, de-rating based algorithm proposed overcome overvoltage. So far technique has used enable frequency support functions PVs; first its kind, here voltages rich LV The entire on dc/dc system kept untouched. effectiveness verified by simulating sample PV-rich three bus MATLAB software. avoids approx. 700 V for best-case scenario.

Impact of Active Power Curtailment on Overvoltage Prevention and Energy Production of PV Inverters Connected to Low Voltage Residential Feeders
As non-controllable power sources, photovoltaics (PV) can create overvoltage in low voltage (LV) distribution feeders during periods of high generation and low load. This is usually prevented passively by limiting the penetration level of PV to very conservative values, even if the critical periods rarely occur. Alternatively, one can use active power curtailment (APC) techniques, reducing the ...
متن کاملFour Leg Voltage Source Converter based Dynamic Voltage Restorer for Power Quality Improvement in Distribution Networks
This paper deals with digital simulation and control of four leg voltage source converter based Dynamic Voltage Restorer(DVR). The control of DVR that injects a voltage in series with a distribution feeder is presented. DVR is a power electronic controller that can protect sensitive loads from disturbances in supply system. It is observed that DVR can regulate the voltage at the load during an ...
متن کاملA Grid-Connected PV Inverter with Compensation of Load Active and Reactive Power Imbalance for Distribution Networks
Load balancing is an important issue in distributed systems. In addition, using distributed generation sources such as photovoltaic is increasing. Power electronic converters are main interfaces between the sources and the grid. In this paper, a method has been proposed to reduce the load imbalancing in distribution networks using PV Grid Interface Converter. Two DC/DC and DC/AC converters have...
